We have another set of riders coming for the ITT SwissBikeAdventure. They are going to face challenging 1300km and nearly 30’000 meters of climbing next week.

Tomorrow, Wednesday 28th at 8:00 Matt and Robert will start ITT in Andermatt.
It’s also the first time Matt and Robert will meet each other. Previously they have only ridden together on Zwift!

Lorenz Beck finished the Swiss-BikeAdventure in ITT mode this afternoon 16:25 at Siviriez, where he started 4 days 10 hours and 10 minutes ago. That’s an average of 300km a day and brings him to 4th place overall. Yesterday Lorenz cycled from Bellinzona over Nufenenpass, Furkapass, Sustenpass and Grosse Scheidegg 240 km and 6600 vm to Interlaken, we met him at Realp after the Furkapass downhill. He told us that he enjoyed the route a lot and even that he knows Switzerland very well, he discovered some new places on the route.
David Hermans is the first rider who finished the Swiss-BikeAdventure in ITT mode. David finished this morning 21.07.2021 03:25 at the devils statue in Andermatt, that’s 3 days 20 hours and 25 minutes for the 1300km route with almost 30’000vm and 3rd fastest finish time. His last stage he started at Albulapass and he did an impressive distance of 341km with 7560m climbing over Albulapass, Flüelapass, San Bernardino, Nufenen and Furkapass. 5 big giants in one go to the finish.
On 26th of June at 7am 11 riders left Andermatt for 1300km with nearly 30000m vertical climb of the second edition of Swiss-BikeAdventure with the first Grand Depart. The first day of the event was truly idyllic: perferct weather, long but beautiful climbs of Susten pass and Grosse Scheidegg, riders were moving fast forward with accompaniament of cows bells. Since day two heavy rains with thunderstorms slowed many, riders were forced to take unplanned brakes due to wet weather and strong winds. Despite challenging weather conditions 7 of the riders made it to the finish line in Andermatt. Christoph, Michele, Kai, Irena, Pavel, Urs, Carsten – massive thanks for your relentless pursuit of adventure that has brought you back to little devils statue for the finishers photo – totally soaked and cold but happy! Maria, Marcel, Nora, Sylvian – we hope to see you again in Andermatt!
Carsten Honemann arrived after 6 days and 4 hours the little devil statue at the finish in Andermatt. Not sure he could make it, since the rim of his rear wheel got cracks around more and more spokes. At the finish the wheel looked a bit scary. Despite the problem, he decided to cycle at daytime only. At the end he got rewarded with sunshine and blue sky over last big climbs Nufenenpass and Furkapass.
